Lemon Detox Diet

One of the most natural and safest ways that a person can help to remove unwanted toxins and waste products from their body is through using the lemon detox diet.  Through this diet, your body will be able to remove naturally all those toxins and waste products, which have accumulated within it over time.  In addition, it also helps to bring your weight back under control.

Today there are now tens of thousands of people around the world who have benefited from using the lemon detox diet.  In fact, the main ingredient (Madal Bal Natural Tree Syrup) of this particular detox diet is readily available now in 33 countries and over ½ million litres of it are sold each year.

Of all the different types of detox diets now available, this is one, which has been around for the longest.  In fact, this was originally introduced to the world by Stanley Burroughs a naturopath more than 30 years ago and was then further developed in Switzerland.

Because it has been found to be so effective as well as being completely natural to use many celebrities have found it to be extremely beneficial to them and their health.  To such celebrities who regularly use the lemon detox diet as part of the health regime are Beyonce Knowles and Mariah Carey.  Yet even though this diet has been around for some considerable time there are still others who consider it to be a fad and not likely to be used by a person more than once.

With this particular diet unlike other detox diets the person who uses it is required to drink only a concoction made from lemon juice (freshly squeezed), Madal Bal Natural Tree Syrup, Cayenne Pepper which are then mixed with bottled water.

However if you are considering thinking about using this diet in order to remove those unwanted toxins and waste products from your body you need to know about the possible side effects associated with it.  This diet is basically a starvation one and you may find that because your calorie intake is greatly reduced it can cause you if used for any extended period of time.

Problem 1 – If used for any extended period of time this diet although you will lose weight will also result in your body starting to lose nutrients that it requires in order for it to function correctly.

Problem 2 – After time because you calorie intake has been reduced you will find that weight loss becomes less prominent because your body is actually beginning to retain the fat for emergencies.

Problem 3 – Another problem that you may face if you choose to use this particular detox diet is that you may feel dizzy, plus your energy levels are greatly reduced and your body finds it difficult to function.  Often the body will start to shut down any functions that it does not see as essential in order to preserve the energy that you have left.

Therefore if you are considering using the lemon detox diet you need to look closely at what your short term and long-term goals are.  Although this diet is ideal for losing weight in the short term and helping to remove toxins and waste products.  If you really want to keep losing weight over time, then improving your dietary habits along with taking some form of exercise is far better for you.
